About the Spa

There are three beautifully designed spa rooms, each equipped with a shower and a straw bed for relaxation.
- Two rooms feature a bathtub for two persons.
- The third room offers two tubs for up to four persons, ideal for couples or small groups of friends.

Reconstruction
The reconstruction of the former school building opposite the chateau — now home to the Svijany Beer Spa — began on 15 February 2021. Although the building appeared well-preserved from the outside, inside it revealed partially collapsed walls and packed-earth floors.
As a listed heritage site, the renovation was carried out with deep respect for history – preserving the original doors and portals, parts of the roof truss, and the old sandstone flooring, which now beautifully decorates the entrance to the spa.
The planned opening in autumn 2021 had to be postponed due to the COVID situation and a shortage of construction materials. The doors finally opened on 16 February 2022, and the wait was well worth it.

Bath Ingredients
Brewer’s Yeast
- Brewer’s yeast is added not only to the bath, but is also present in generous amounts in Svijany’s “Zámek” beer. The yeast used in the Svijany Beer Spa comes fresh from the brewery, always of the highest quality.
- It is a rich source of vitamin B, which supports digestion, has a positive effect on immunity and hormone production, and helps prevent dementia, arthritis, and cardiovascular diseases. It also beneficially affects the nervous system and has a naturally calming effect.
- Brewer’s yeast contains a wide range of minerals – calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and sodium – as well as trace elements such as iron, manganese, copper, zinc, and

Malt
- We use malt from small Czech and Moravian malt houses, where it is produced in the traditional floor-malting method by skilled maltsters.
- Malt brings a delicate aroma to the bath and helps revitalize the body.
Hops
- The hops come from our own hop fields in the Polepské Blato region.
- The aroma of hop resins creates a relaxing and calming atmosphere during the bath.
Beer
- On tap, we serve the unfiltered lager “Zámek 11%”, brewed specially to celebrate the opening of Chateau Svijany.
- During the warm bath, carbon dioxide is released from the beer and absorbed through the skin, dilating blood vessels, lowering blood pressure, and supporting heart function.
- A beer bath rich in carbon dioxide helps relieve stress and anxiety, reduces muscle and joint stiffness, and soothes tension throughout the body.
Beer Bath Information
Course of the Beer Bath
- In the changing room, you’ll leave your belongings, wrap yourself in a sheet,
and move to your private beer spa room. - The attendant will finish preparing your bath and then leave you to enjoy privacy and peace.
- In an oak whirlpool tub, you’ll enjoy a warm bath at 34–37 °C enriched with a special beer blend.
- During the bath, remember to stay hydrated – you can pour yourself a Svijany unfiltered lager “Zámek” directly from the tap beside your tub.
- To complement your beer, you can enjoy handmade pretzels from the local bakery U Rýdlů.
- After the bath (recommended duration 20–30 minutes), you’ll relax on a bed of wheat straw, wrapped in a soft sheet.
- During this relaxation, your body unwinds, your heartbeat slows, your system harmonizes, and your skin absorbs the beneficial substances from the bath.

Operating Information
- Please arrive 10 minutes before your reserved time.
- The bath can be taken nude or in swimwear. If you choose to wear swimwear, we recommend rinsing it thoroughly after the bath and washing it the same day.
- You can call staff at any time using the service bell.
- The changing room includes lockers, a hairdryer, and basic cosmetics.
- We recommend showering no sooner than 2 hours after the bath, to allow your body to fully absorb the active ingredients.
- If you book your beer bath less than 30 minutes before the start time, your session may be shortened due to the required preparation of the bath.

Maderotherapy (Wood Therapy Massage)
In consultation with the therapist, you may choose to replace the relaxing massage with a manual lymphatic massage of the legs.
This is a gentle technique that promotes lymphatic flow throughout the body, reduces swelling, supports detoxification, eliminates cellulite, and boosts the immune system.
The therapy is performed using a special wooden roller, designed to shape and tone the body.
